Updates for 21 March 2020 -- an important change from the bulletin
Now that the bulletins have come out, questions have come up to which I need to respond:
Back on Tuesday, when I submitted my article for the bulletin, I was hoping to offer "home Masses" and possibly a Sunday "parking lot" Mass (borrowing from some ideas from other communities). However, I had to step back from pursuing these ideas after discussions about what would be best now for the safety of the people of the parish and of Hastings, and out of obedience to the directives from the diocese. It saddens me that I can’t do more at this time.
And while this is not the same as the Mass in person, we still plan to broadcast Sunday Mass on both YouTube and Facebook at 9:00 a.m. Here are links to these websites:
And we hope to do the same with weekday Masses, but these times will vary because seminarian Louden Redinger is taking classes remotely four mornings a week.
I still am able to offer Confessions, but these will be in Theisen Hall. The expanded schedule of Confessions is:
- 7:05 a.m. until finished from Sunday through Friday
- 7:35 a.m. until finished on Saturday morning
- 7:00 p.m. until finished on Tuesday, Thursday & Saturday (These times/days may change – check Facebook/website for updates)
- 3:00-4:30 p.m. on Saturday afternoon
As things unfold, there will be more updates. And if you haven’t yet, check previous updates too.
